Not too long ago megaupload was shut down and its owners/operators were arrested on various charges. The claim was that the site was costing copyright holders large sums of money, but now the Pirate Party is providing a place for international users of the site to register their complaints (but it directs American users to the Electronic Frontier Foundation).

They add that the FBI has caused “incalculable damage” by making material hosted on the site’s servers unavailable and, for now, users — both paying and non — are unsure if they will ever have their files recovered.
