Night Wing Chronicles III: The Diamond of Skyrim(part 1: Rated R)
The Night Wing Chronicles: The Carlos Rodriguez Story
Book 3: the Diamond of Skyrim Chapter 1 “Ok, so explain to me again where your friend lives?” Carlos had said to Sabrina. They landed in California about 4 hours ago, and parked the bus in front of Aunt Meg’s house. Of course, she about had a cow, until Uncle Press explained it, then she was ok with it. With Ryan chilling in Carlos’s bedroom, studying, Sabrina volunteered to go with Carlos to engage the interest of her friend, who will help them get to the city of Neveah, in theory. They decided to take Carlos’s bike, the Black Wasp, to see what it was capable of. “She’s in Bakersfield, in Oildale. We will have to be careful when we get there, it could be catastrophic for us to be in that neighborhood.” Sabrina said. “I thought you said it was ok for us to be there!” He said, Roaring onto the 105 freeway. “I said it was ok for you to be there. Me, I have to meet her at the library. She lives in the ghetto.” Sabrina said, wrinkling her nose. “There’s nothing wrong with the ghetto. A lot of talent has come out of the ghetto.” Carlos countered as he zipped past cars honking at him. “I didn’t say there was anything wrong with it, I just said I fear for my life a little bit when I have to go visit her.” Sabrina said, tapping his right rib, indicating that he needed to turn here. He took the exit and saw the signs for Oildale. “I’m glad you are a little fearful of the ghetto. The person without fear will end up losing their life, unless they know what they’re doing.” Carlos admired , as she pointed out her house. In seconds, he had stopped the bike, and allowed Sabrina to get off. He got off, put his helmet on the holder, and set an alarm, which activated an electroshock force field around the bike. A bird went to land on the seat, and got zapped in the attempt. Carlos huffed at the zap, and then proceeded to follow Sabrina to Cecilia’s house. Chapter 2 “You lost them again?!?!?!?!?” Zuza yelled at his 2 recruits, Sassy and Amaris over the phone. “Not my fault! We had them, then idiot here decided to follow them into Stonehenge, and we lost them there. SORRY I said will you please listen?!” Sassy explained to Zuza. “You get a reprieve, he doesn’t! You are both to find him, and get at least one of those stones back to me, or I will see to it you both are eliminated, permanently!” Zuza said, ending the call. As soon as he did, he threw his left hand in the air, and a lightning bolt landed next to his sleeping assistant, waking him instantly. “Boss, I take it they lost our targets, again?” His assistant, a grunt named Dizza said. His previous assistant was fired for various reasons. “Yes, Dizza. The one person I thought was capable of completing a simple task of finding a teenage boy, hunting him down, and destroying him, and she fails me. I can expect that from Amaris, but not Sassy! She is too hot in her pants and she cusses too much, plus, she is too good at what she does , Amaris is as good. So why would they fail me when I need them most?” Zuza shrieked, causing the air above him to cackle. “Lightning manifest, that’s unheard of in rogue society.” Dizza commented. “I know, I happen to be an Electricity Elemental. It’s something you have to be born with. Anyway, I want you to succeed where they have failed. I know they have left Ireland, they wouldn’t waste time to find the next stone, and beating them to a stone is out of the question, so we will have to steal one of theirs, so we can find some of our own. That way, once all the stones have been collected, we will also know, and prepare for war.” Zuza said, logging into his computer. “Steal one? How do we accomplish that?” Dizza asked, looking confused. “Give them time, they can come around.” “We know he currently has 3 Stones in his possession, the blue Eye, the Fire Heart, and the Light of Athenra. The prophecy says that he won’t be able to take all three stones with him; he will have to lock one up. Those stones have their own ion signature, and I know Amaris and Sassy won’t be able to track them like I can, not in time, anyway.” Zuza said, typing away on his laptop, projecting his work in the center of the room via a hologram. He then highlighted a section in Ireland, and it lit up with a red, blue and green trail, with a red and blue trail leading to it. “There they are. The red and blue trail leading to Ireland is where they landed to get the third stone. The green trail must be the new one. Looks like they are back in California, I wonder how long. . .” He trailed, not really talking to anyone, he was focused on working. “Sir, we have movement. The three stones are on the move in California. He’s going somewhere with them.” Dizza pointed out. “Deploy the alpha team, they’re closest.” “Good work.” Zuza said, then hit his intercom. “Alpha team, deploy to East Los Angeles, California, GPS coordinates are being wired now.” He turned back to his assistant. “That should cover our bases for a little bit.” Chapter 3 “Ok, I know he said lock up the Fire Heart, but want to explain why we are taking all three, or why we aren’t locking them under our eyes?” Leondra asked. “Because, he has a feeling that they could be traced at any point, and if we should lose one to the rogues, he don’t want them firing at will trying to find which one he doesn’t have. He said he won’t need the Fire Heart when we get to Neveah, so we are locking it in this bank vault. His safe isn’t too secure. The vault he paid for is a 6 inch Titanium vault, with a 6 digit sequencing relocking mechanism, a Nanogel Biometric scanner, retina scanner, voice recognition, and takes a special set of keys. It’s the most secure vault in the world. We should breathe a little easier knowing that one of the stones is safe like that.” Karon said, looking at her, then the street, then a piece of paper he had in his hand. “This is the place.” He said, opening the door. “It doesn’t look like a bank, looks like a morgue.” Leondra said, following Karon inside. ` ~N~ “Hey chica! What are you doing here?” Cecilia said, as Sabrina and Carlos walked inside her apartment. Books on architecture, both real and fantasized, were strewn about. “I came here because my friend needs your expertise.” Sabrina answered, as Carlos shook Cecilia’s hand. “He’s certainly dreamy. You say he’s single?” Cecilia said, eyeing Carlos up and down. “Not that kind of expertise, your architecture!” Sabrina said, rolling her eyes. "Oh, right. Heaven forbid I pick on the gay guy, even if he is drop dead hot!" Cecilia replied. "Who said I was gay?" Carlos retorted. "Sabrina did, when she called and told me about your boyfriend, ryan. Besides, you had more passes thrown at you than the entire NFL wide reciever roster combined, all by girls falling for your immaculate body. You've turned them all down. There is no way a guy would turn down that much if he wasn't gay. But, that's a story for another day. You need to get to Skyrim, the floating city in the sky, right?" Cecilia said, walking to her dresser, and pulling out 2 rolled maps. "Yes, I need to get to Skyrim, and for your information, Ryan is not my boyfriend. He's my fiance." Carlos said, reaching for a map, only to get his hand slapped by Cecilia. "My maps, don't touch! Anyway, you were reaching for the wrong map. The map you need is right here. You'll need to get to the edge of this lake." She started, pointing toa lake in the middle of the map. It looked like it was in the middle of the Siberian Tundra."There, you will find a small cabin, and the man inside will help you get to Skyrim. This is the map of Skyrim, the chamber you are looking for is in the middle of the castle, but the castle is a bit of a maze, so I'll send you a digital copy of this map to your pda. Good luck Carlos. Watch over him, Sabrina." Cecilia said, walking them to the door.
