Night Wing Chronicles II: Athenra's Light (part 2)
Chapter 8

“You would want to pull off the road here, there is a field operative tent set up here in the desert.” Amaris instructed Sassy, as she pulled the $3.5 Million vehicle off the road with a slip of the back end. It tail whipped in the dirt, then gripped as traction control kicked in.
“Why are we taking this lovely car into the desert? It makes no sense.” She complained.

“Our goal is to get to Ireland. Carlos is traveling by jet, which will put him there in about,” Amaris Consulted his watch, “ 4 hours. We need to be there before he arrives, so We will be traveling a little faster.” Amaris said, locking the Lambo.

“What’s faster than a jet?” Sassy asked.

“A rocket.” Amaris answered, pulling the cover off a big 2 person rocket.

“You’ve got to be kidding me. There is no way in hell I’m getting in that cigar tube with you!” She shrieked, attempting to storm off back towards the car. Amaris grabbed her arm.

“Listen, you will have another chance if you fail at this job. If I do, I’m done. I have already failed once. I’m not gonna fail again!” with that, he whipped off his shades. He showed her where his retinas were burned. “This is what happens to those who get the business end of the Staff of Isis. He fried my eyes with light so pure, it destroyed my eyesight and my power for a week. He’s a beast. Watch yourself around him.” Amaris said.

“I will, now, let’s get going before I lose my nerve.” Sassy said, slipping in the front seat of the rocket.

“You are not driving!” Amaris said, moving to pull Sassy out of the front seat, but she was fighting.

“The hell I’m not. I know how to fly this thing!! You can sit back and enjoy the flight.” she said, strapping on a helmet. She had the rocket ready to take off in a matter of minutes.

“You’re sure you know what you are doing? Amaris asked warily.

“Yes, I know what I’m doing. Now sit down, shut up, buckle up, and hold on.” She said, as she threw the throttle into full reverse. “Oops!” She said, while the rocket had them held tight to their seat where they could not move. She stopped the rocket, and had it reset, ready to go.

“Oops?” he asked, looking at her crazy.

“Yes, oops. Now hush!” She said, as she went forward full speed. They were on their way to Stonehenge, in Ireland.

Chapter 9

“Where are we landing?” Sabrina asked as they flew over the emerald isle.
“We’ll land at a small airport near Stonehenge. It has enough strip space to land this bird quite smoothly, but not enough security to check all our bags.” Carlos said into the intercom from the pilot’s seat in the cockpit. Halfway over the Atlantic, Uncle Press called Carlos up there to fly the plane for a while. Carlos is 50 hours away from earning his wings. Leondra and Karon were in the cockpit as well, chatting with Uncle Press.

“So, you were born on Azarath?” Karon asked.

“Yes. I have a twin sister too, but it is said that she was lost at birth.” Press said.

“What was her name?” Leondra asked.

“Sassy Lynn.” He replied, as Carlos let a small gasp.

“You know about her?” Press asked.

“According to my mother’s book, she is known also by Carmen Sandiego. She is as elusive, and she is responsible for 200 of the biggest heists in the world.” he said, as a radio communications came in.

“Delta Alpha Rho Theta 007, turn left, heading 125. Maintain heading and drop to 2,000 feet.” The tower said.

“Roger that, turning left, heading 125. Drop and maintain 2,000 feet. Delta Alpha Rho Theta 007.” Uncle Press said into the microphone, as Carlos followed the instruction. Pretty soon, after a small dip, the plane lurched downward a little bit.

“Folks, this is Captain Carlos Speaking. We are experiencing turbulence. Please remain seated, your seat in its full upright position, and put on your seatbelts. Thank you.” Carlos announced to the back, where Sabrina and Ryan were sitting.

“Oh dear lord, we’re gonna crash!!!!” Ryan said, ducking down. Sabrina whacked him with Carlos’s book.

“Get a grip! We’re not gonna crash. We just have turbulence. We’ll be fine.” She said, pulling him back up into the seat.

“Delta Alpha Rho Theta 007, Please drop to 500 feet, slow engine speed, and confirm visual of runway 23.” The tower said over the intercom.

“Roger, dropping to 500 feet, I see the Runway now. Gearing down to idle, Delta Alpha Rho Theta 007.” Carlos said, as he once again followed directions. He lowered the landing gear, and geared the plane down to idle. He steered toward the landing strip, and touched down a short time later. He brought the plane to a complete stop, with only about 50 feet to spare. “That was close.” Carlos said over the intercom.
“No doubt.” Press answered, as he lowered the staircase. Everyone stepped off the plane, and onto the tarmac of a secluded strip in Ireland, just 20 Miles southeast of Stonehenge.

Chapter 10

“Where are we?” Amaris asked as they flew across the countryside.

“We are in Ireland, just not where we need to be.” Sassy replied, steering the rocket left.

“Well, in case you haven’t noticed, we’re almost out of fuel.” He shouted back, as The fuel indicator started blinking. A few seconds later, the engines shut off completely.

“We’re out of fuel, we’ll have to coast to a landing.” Amaris said.

“In case you have forgotten, we’re in a rocket. Rockets don’t coast. They drop fast!” Sassy said, as they crash landed on a small patch of land in the middle of a castle.

“Great, We’re in a castle.” Amaris complained.

“Shush! I know the owners of this place. They have a car we can get.” Sassy calmly said.

“Well, let’s get to the car, and get out of here. We’re on a deadline, remember?” Amaris urged.

“Ok, don’t be so antsy. I am never on a deadline.” Sassy replied, as she ran to one of the inner halls of the castle. He followed her to a small room, where there lay a tarp. She pulled The tarp away to reveal a Nissan Skyline GTR, Black in color.

“Nice car. I’m driving.” Amaris said, sliding into the left side, only to discover the steering wheel was on the right side.

“It’s an import from Japan. Think about that next time.” Sassy said, hopping in the right side. She powered up the car, and flew out into the countryside.

Chapter 11

“Ok, so how are we gonna get to Stonehenge?” Leondra asked.

“By this.” Carlos said, hitting a button on the side of the hangar. Inside was a 40 foot bus, black-ops style, and had tinted windows. Carlos ran to the driver’s side window, and pushed a button. The front door opened with a hiss, and the front bumper dipped to the ground to about 7 inches off the ground.

“Why did the bumper drop down like that?” Leondra asked.

“I had this ordered from Gillig, when I knew I needed a mobile headquarters. They told me it would run about $650,000. Meg has no clue I have it ordered. I charged it to my black card.” Carlos said, as Leondra and Karon drew breaths to yell at him. Uncle Press chipped in.

“Guys, I helped him get it. I knew something like this was going to happen, and I wanted him to be prepared. How do you think his aunt got the money for his black Magnum? I was also the one who bought his Ninja, which reminds me.” Uncle press said, pulling a small handbook out from his backpack. He handed it to Carlos. The title was labeled, “Black Wasp Owner’s Guide.”

“Black Wasp?” Carlos asked.

“Yeah, you didn’t notice the little black wasp engraved on the tailpipes?” Press countered?

“No, I’ll have to check it out. In the meantime, we have a stone to get to.” Carlos said, starting the bus. It came to life with a loud roar, then quieted as the 575hp Caterpillar diesel engine warmed up and settled. He checked the fuel and air pressure indicators, and raised the front bumper back up. It lifted with a small beeping warning. They pulled out of the hangar, out to the main highway, and sped to Stonehenge.

Chapter 12

“Check the map, how far are we from Stonehenge?” Sassy asked Amaris.

“35 Miles. If you stay on this road, it should get us there quickly.” Amaris said, consulting the map, which was a digital screen, with a built in GPS indicator.

“OK, good. I need to stay with my deadline.” Sassy said, as they came up on some traffic. She passed several cars before she spotted a blacked out bus.

“You don’t have deadlines you said, remember?” Amaris said, trying to see around the bus.

“I don’t, but I hate to sit still.” She replied, casually whipping the car over to the other lane, to pass the bus.

“Sassy, LOOK OUT!” Amaris yelled, staring down the blue and red 18 wheeler heading right for them. She rolled her eyes at him, and floored it. She was past the bus and in the other lane again as the truck flew by.

“I think I wet myself.” Amaris said.

“Please, don’t tell me that! This is European leather. Besides, I had it covered.” Sassy said, whacking him upside the head with a rolled up newspaper.

“Whatever you say, by the way, that bus was a little too blacked out for tourists, don’t you think?” Amaris suggested.

“Maybe, what do the tourist buses look like over here?” She asked.

“They have big clovers on them, don’t they?” Amaris asked.

“You mean you don’t know?!?!?!?” She looked at him, angered.

“No, I thought you did.” He said, looking sullen.

“Ok, we’re going to find a tourist bus. In the meantime, we need to get to Stonehenge.” She said harshly. She pulled off the road into a gas station.

The bus they passed went by the station she was parked at. It had a blacked out clover on the side. Sassy elbowed Amaris and pointed. “See?!?!?! I told you that was a tourist bus.” With a laugh.

“WHATEVER!!!” Amaris said. “Don’t you ever get tired of being smart all the time?”

“Hell NO. I love being smart, it makes me feel smarter than I really am!!!” Sassy said.

“Smart ass!!!!” Amaris muttered.

“It beats being a dumbass.” She smirked back at him, before pulling into a gas Station.

“Whatever. I gotta go, be right back.” He smirked back as he got out of the car. He walked into the gas station, then came out a few seconds later with a key. He went to the side, unlocked a door, and went inside.

While Amaris was gone, a second black bus rolled by the gas station. “Deja’vu.” She said to herself, before noticing the plate. It read, “Nghtwng” Hurriedly, she ran to the bathroom and beat on the door. “Get out of here NOW!!!” She yelled at Amaris.

“WOMAN!! You act like you don’t want to talk to me, then you are yelling at me to come out, What the hell is wrong with you?” He said, stepping out of the bathroom and fastening his diesel jeans.

“Our target just rolled by, I thought you might want to know.” She said, looking at him with a look of contempt.

“Ok, we need to go.” Amaris said, sliding over the hood of the skyline, and jumping into the left side. He was happy to let her drive.

“Yeah we do. Just don’t think too loud, I need to find them.” She ignored his body actions, focusing on the job at hand, and whipped out of the station in pursuit of the bus.

Chapter 13

Carlos just passed a service station, while Karon and Leondra were in the back, reading the chapter on how to access the stone, when Uncle Press picked up movement in the mirrors.

“Guys, is that a black skyline?” He asked, as they looked out the windows at the rapidly approaching car.

“It is, I think they found us. Carlos, DRIVE!!!” Karon said, as Ryan stirred from his nap. He sat up right before Carlos punched it. “What’s going ON!?!?!?!” Ryan asked, as he and Sabrina collided and fell back on the bed.

“They found him. He needs to hurry.” Leondra said.

“Activate the Stealth mode!” Press said, fighting his way to the front.

“Where’s that button?” Carlos asked.

“Right next to the air door button.” Press shouted, as Carlos hit it, and the bus vanished from sight.

“What the HELL??!?!?? The bus is gone. We were just right behind it.” Sassy said, as the bus vanished.

“Stealth armor, nice. Carlos is smart, but I’m smarter. Does this car have any kind of projectile weapon?” He asked, touching the control screen.

“Yes, QUIT PUSHING BUTTONS! What you need is in this menu. Do you want me to write down what all the buttons are to, so you will stop pushing buttons?” Sassy said, slapping his hand, then tapping a ‘weapons’ menu on the all inclusive display.

“Thanks.” He said, searching through the weapons. He selected Snowblower from the menu, and a loud whirring came through the cabin. “What’s that?”

“The guns are priming. A red fire button will appear when the weapon is ready to fire. Snow? Seriously? You can’t possibly be serious.” She said, rolling her eyes looking at his selection.

“You’ll see soon enough, get a little faster.” He said, giving her a weird look.

She sped up, and a red button popped onto the screen. He quickly hit it, and White snow splattered the highway ahead, then hit an object in front of them, outlining the rear end of a bus. “We got them.” Amaris said.

“I’m sorry I doubted you. Look for the heat seeker rockets.” She suggested.

“Not likely. We need to keep them alive until they get the stone, then we can kill them.” He corrected.

“Ok, I guess we’ll do it your way.” Sassy said.

Chapter 14

“They just sprayed us. We’re caught!” Ryan said, freaking out.”

“Can you chill for a sec, we got this. Hit the decoy button.” Press said, looking over Carlos’s shoulder.

“Gotcha.” Carlos said, hitting a button that looked like a bus splitting in 3. Within seconds, duplicate buses split away, complete with the snow plastered on the back.

“That should keep them busy. Take a left here; it will take us to the underground cave under Stonehenge.” Press said, as Carlos whipped the bus off the road. It slid in the dirt, then traction control engaged. The road started smooth, then became rougher.

“We’re getting battered here.” Leondra and Karon said from the back of the bus. In seconds, Carlos hit a button, kicking the bus into an off road mode. The suspension rose another 2 inches, and knobs sprung out on the tires. “What can’t this bus do?” Leondra wondered.

“It can’t play solitaire.” Carlos replied casually. The road then took a dip downward, into the ground. It got darker as the bus descended deeper underground. The Headlights engaged, then got brighter as the ground got darker. The lights bounced off a green door, and Carlos locked up the brakes, freaking out everyone on the bus, except for press. “Was that the door?”

“Yep. We have arrived.” Carlos said, as the bus came to a complete stop. He opened the door with ease, and lowered the front bumper again.

Chapter 15

“We lost them, again! It’s your fault!” Sassy snapped at Amaris.

“My fault?” Amaris replied, looking at her. “For the record, we didn’t lose them, we know where they’re going, remember? All we have to do is get there.”

“True, I forgot. I’m sorry. Let’s go after them.” Sassy said, as her phone rang. She answered with a loud, "FUNKY BUTTLOVING!!!! What that HELL do you guys want? I Said NO and I mean NO!"

"Sassy, no need to go off on me, I was just calling to check on you. Damn!!! Who’s been blowing up your phone?" Zuza answered, holding the phone away from his ear.

"Sorry, I went through about 12 different dating chatlines, all from creeps." She replied, as Amaris looked at her with interest. She shot him a nasty look in return.

"What, a hitwoman like you can't score a man?" Zuza asked teasing.

"I've scored plenty of men, but I've ended up having to take them out, as in kill them. I guess you can say my first dates are killer for the guys." She replied seductively.

"You know, some guys just can't hold their arsenic. You need to find a guy that can." Zuza replied.

“Of course. Things are going ok, thanks for asking but never ask again. We are just about to go after the Light of Athenra.” She informed her boss.

“Nice, that’s guarded by the centaur guardian Kronos. I don’t know anything about the task that you have to face off, other than it can be a bit of a nasty one. Be careful, and remind Amaris that this is his last chance. He can’t afford to screw up again.” Zuza said.

“I think he knows that by now. I’ll talk to you later. Don’t call me anymore until I call you, I am trying to do my job.” She said, ending the call.

Chapter 16

“Ok, where is the door?” Ryan said, looking at the stone wall.

“It’s right here.” Carlos said, slipping the phoenix apart. Sabrina was disassembling the Dragon at the same time, when a doorway glowed green, with 2 rings on both sides of it, and 2 key shapes. One set glowed blue, the other red.

“Ok, who is supposed to open the door with me? According to this chapter, I’m supposed to get it opened with someone.” Carlos said, as he slid the phoenix in place.

“I’ll do it.” Ryan said, taking the disassembled dragon and sliding it into place. 2 Hand prints popped out, both outlining in green. With a nod between them, they both slid their hands in the opening. It clicked, and slid inward, opening the door. Carlos looked at Ryan as if to ask “What now?” When the floor under him buckled, and took him in the tunnel beyond the doorway.

“CARLOS!!!” Ryan said, before he, too fell into the tunnel.

“GUYS!” Sabrina yelled.

“Look! They aren’t dead. They activated the underground passage.” Leondra pointed out.

“You’re right. Let’s go.” Sabrina said, jumping in the hole. Leondra followed with a whoop of joy, followed by Press, and after an eye roll, Karon jumped in after them.

Chapter 17

“Ok, how do we get in this stack of stones?” Sassy said, looking at the wall of Stonehenge.

“Easy, I know the access spell. Stand back.” Amaris said. He stepped forward, and enunciated clearly, “Clocha arsa an domhain, deonaigh duinn pasaiste ar do seomrai istigh. (Ancient stones of earth, grant us passage to your inner chambers.)” A green doorway opened beside them, causing Sassy to jump.

“You are indeed great with magic. I knew it.” Sassy said, looking at him.

“I am a son of Ipswich. Don’t forget that next time, Hitgil1982!” He said, hopping into the doorway, and sliding down the passageway. She jumped in after him, and took a slightly different route. They both landed in a small chamber, and only had a moment’s notice before the ground under them decided to shift.

Chapter 18

“Ok, where are we now?” Ryan said as everyone stood up in the chamber they landed in.

“We are in Kronos’s Lair. I have to meet him to accept my challenge.” Carlos said, as a red and blue streak swept the room. They crashed into opposite walls into waiting platforms on, and the statues appeared with a screech and a roar. They formed a green light, and it shone into the opening, where a centaur strode into the ring.

“Night Wing, merry meet. Please step into the ring.” Kronos said, bowing low to him. Carlos returned the bow, and stepped forward.

“You have grown since I’ve seen you last. I’m a relative. I’m one of your uncles.” Kronos said.

“Sweet. This is my boyfriend Ryan, and my best friend Sabrina. These two are my guardians.” Carlos said, pointing out each person in turn.

“Nice to meet you all, you came for the light of Athenra?” Kronos said, looking at them.

“Yes sir.” Carlos said, stepping in front of the centaur.

“Well then, your task is simple: survive in a cage of 5 trolls. Defeat them and you’ll get the Light of Athenra.” Kronos said, as a huge cage appeared. A tunnel led from the back of the cage into complete darkness.

“Where does that lead?” Ryan asked.

“That’s where the trolls come from.” Kronos leaned in and whispered in his ear.

“Oh, cool.” Ryan said.

“I’m gonna release the trolls one at a time. You will have a minute and a half to defeat the first troll, or it will get harder if you let them rack up. You can have your Staff of Isis in there. Good luck, oh you’ll need to change into something more traditional.” Kronos said, snapping his fingers. A Green kilt appeared in place of his original outfit, and the original folded itself on the bags next to uncle press. Ryan looked down at the pile of clothes, and a label stood out. “Carlos, what’s the name of the pair of underwear you are wearing?”

“My 2xist Colors, the sapphire blue ones. Why?” Carlos asked, with a quizzical look on his face.

“You’re not wearing them now.” Ryan said, holding them up.

Carlos looked under the kilt, then back at Kronos. “It’s one thing to put me in a skirt, but to take my underwear?!” He said exasperated.

“If you wish, you can wear them, but nothing else of your clothing.” Kronos said, snapping his fingers. The underwear disappeared from Ryan, and back on Carlos.

‘Ok, now I’m ready.” Carlos said, feeling the underwear back on his skin, and swinging the Staff of Isis around.

“Well then, release the first troll.” Kronos said, as a stone wall ground upward. A snarl was heard through the dark doorway, with a trail of slime dripping onto the ground. Carlos stood ready at the other end of the ring, facing the tunnel. The troll stepped into the light, and growled. He stood about 6 feet tall, about 9 feet long, covered in mangy fur, and had 4 foot tusks dripping in saliva and venom. Ryan saw the first troll and fainted, to be caught by Press. “Heart of a lion, this one has.” Press said, easing Ryan to the ground and fanning him. Sabrina started patting his head with a wet washcloth.

“Time starts, now!” Kronos yelled, as the troll leaped. Carlos swung hard with his Staff, and whacked the troll in the head. The troll howled in anger and stared down Carlos. He went to leap, as Carlos charged the Staff to fire. “Isis STARE!” He yelled, as the white light bathed the room. The troll shrieked and ran back down the hallway, as light flooded the hall. The other four trolls howled and shielded their eyes, as their retinas burned.

“Five trolls defeated in under a minute. The Staff of Isis is your most formidable weapon. I present you, the Light of Athenra.” Kronos said, as a green statue of a centaur rose onto a platform. The centaur was clutching a green stone, and on its back was a piece of paper. A beam of light shot from the Staff and hit the gem, and the gem glowed a bright green. The light bonded with the other stones, and created a chain of light, wrapping around the group. Ryan sat up to see the phenomenon.

“Coolness. What is that supposed to mean?” He asked.

“It means that your powers are growing. You’ll gonna need it for the next task. Here’s your clue.” Kronos said, handing them the piece of paper from the statue.

Carlos read it aloud, then frowned. He had no clue what it meant. “I don’t get this one. ‘City of the sky, calling for you. We have a diamond, honed and true. You will find us in the air; don’t think about waving your hands like you don’t care. Claw your way around the cage, the timely stars will amaze.’ What the hell?”

“I know! There is a legendary city in the sky called Neveah. It is held aloft by propellers. Their main source of power is called the Diamond of Heaven. That’s the next gem.” Sabrina said. Everyone stared at her. “What? I read a lot of legendary literature. I happen to remember everything I read. Don’t judge me!”

“Ok. Any clue how to get to this city? We can’t just fly a plane up there. Your jets on the magnum will not make it up there, neither will the jets on the bus.” Press reminded them.

“I know an archaeologist, who’s an expert at cities like this. Her name is Cecilia. I can put you in touch with her as soon as we get stateside.” Sabrina said.

“What are we waiting for, let’s get home!” Carlos said, putting the statues in his backpack. Ryan looked at him with interest. “What?” Carlos asked.

“You’re still wearing the kilt.” Ryan said.

“So? You want me to pack it for later?” Carlos said, winking at him. Kronos snapped his fingers, and the kilt appeared on top of the backpack, and Carlos’s street clothes appeared on him. “Never mind, it’s packed.” Carlos said.

“Ok, be careful. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to deal with 2 intruders in my balance room. I have no clue how they got there, but I know they might be happy with my troll friends.” Kronos said, as he strode off into the dark tunnel.

“Intruders? Do you think it could be Sassy and Amaris?” Leondra asked.

“Yeah, I do. Want to go check it out?” Karon asked.

“I would love to, but we gotta get a head start before they know we’re gone.” Carlos said, ushering them to the bus.

“True. To the airport, quickly!” Press said, as they headed out of the cave onto the bus. Ryan grabbed Carlos, and rubbed his shoulders. He whispered close into his ear, “You are so gonna get it when we finally get home, and I want you to wear that Kilt, and nothing else.”

“I’m looking forward to it. Let’s go.” Carlos said, as they got on the bus. He closed the door, and floored it to the airport in record time.

Chapter 19

“Ok, don’t make any sudden moves. We might fall.” Sassy said, holding her ground.

“You think? Where are we?” Amaris said, looking at her.

“It seems to be balanced by our own weight. One tip in the wrong direction, and we go down. Let’s not try to die.” Sassy said, glaring at him.

“Ok, ok. Calm down. We just need to move as one.” Amaris said, trying to collaborate his movements with hers.

Let’s just hope you don’t have one of your moments of being clumsy. I am not ready to die and I know you aren’t either.” Sassy remarked.

“Relax, will you? Son of Ipswich, remember? Now, take 2 steps to your left, when I take 2 steps 2 the right.” Amaris added, looking at her. He moved as she moved, when her phone went off. She fumbled for it, and accidently hit a button on the screen, transporting her out of the room. “OH SHIT!” Sassy commented, as she appeared by the Skyline. “Where’d you go?” Amaris asked, looking around, as the platform shifted under his weight.

“Let’s see. What did I do to get out here? I think this is the button.” She said, as the call went to voicemail, she hit a button, and transported back to the platform.

“Where were you?” Amaris said, glaring at her.

“I don’t know, all I remember is hitting a button on my phone, and disappearing. I don’t see anything like that, wait, what about my ‘Emergency Relocation’ app?” Sassy said, as they moved together in the center of the platform to see the screen. She hit it, and both her and Amaris appeared by the Skyline.

“Nice!!! You have a teleportation app on your phone. Who installed it?” Amaris said, looking at the app details.

“I don’t really know, I only noticed it because I got a phone call. It went to voicemail. Let me check that, then we can focus on finding Carlos again.” She said, as she dialed her voicemail. The voice was Zuza’s. “Sassy, it’s Zuza. We just found out that your brother Preston is still alive, and is flying for Carlos. Also, they already have The Light of Athenra, I can sense that, so go head them off. They are going to meet with a woman in California, who can give them passage to their next stone, it is now yours and Amaris’s job to make sure he never makes it, or I’m finding both of you, and taking you both out of the game, personally.” Zuza finished by hanging up. Sassy looked heated and stricken at the same time.

“What is it?” Amaris asked, as she stormed to the car.

“Get in, we are going to California.” Sassy said, as she floored it, and sped towards an airport.

Chapter 20

“Ok, what about the jets on this bus?” Carlos asked press, as they headed toward the airport they landed.

“There are 2 jets capable of taking the bus stateside, but not much more than that. We can use them to fly back, instead of going to the plane.” Press said, as the others nodded in agreement.

“True, the quicker we are in the states, the quicker we can get to the city in the sky.” Carlos said, as Press joined him at the front of the bus. In minutes, they had the bus prepped for flight, and shot off towards the California coast.
