The Nightmare (Anyone can join)

[Cecilia Rose Demonic Princess]

The World has become very dark and very evil. The light that was in the world has now been gone. The darkness plans to take over all the world. But the creator of this darkness does not believe that any one would stand up and fight for the side of good. Especially The princess of demons, Cecilia Rose.

Cecilia had been in living deep in the woods in a small one story log cabin. As you enter the cabin you see a living room with a couch, bookshelves with her journals and all kinds of other books, some pertaining magic and crystals. You could see a kitchen with a large closet, and another door that was her bedroom door. The cabin was very simple, not something you would expect from a princess. But this is how she liked her life. All she needed was there since she lived alone.

She hated what was going on and hated seeing the world in such darkness and so much despair. She had been studying many things on her own over many years. She knew they doubted she would fight for the side of good but what they didn't know was she was planning on getting help.

She then walked outside and when she did she began to chant a spell that created a wind of fire and with that she sent a call out for help. As the fire reaches those that get the call they see a person stand before them made out of fire and they speak these words to you, "I am Cecilia Rose, Princess of Demons. I call out to you to come and help me fight the darkness and bring light back to this world. If you wish to join the fight come to the eastern woods and there you will find a small log cabin." After Cecilia sent all the calls out to the entire world she went back inside her log cabin and waited to see who would answer her call.

I was practicing with my fire as a dragon when a form appeared and I lit a fire and watched as it said, "I am Cecilia Rose, Princess of Demons. I call out to you to come and help me fight the darkness and bring light back to this world. If you wish to join the fight come to the eastern woods and there you will find a small log cabin." I was stunned at seeing my old friend grown and she was beautiful and young...but she was still a princess. "I have to help her...I have to...it's been a good while since we last saw each other." I said as I changed back into a human and went inside to pack. Grabbing my book I placed it in my satchel with a gold emblem on it and the leather strap held gold and silver stitching.
"Where are you going? you have class Erik." I heard a teacher say.
"I'm sorry...I must leave, a friend is in need of help and I have to go...this is a good way to help me practice my magic. consider this a field lesson." I looked up at my teacher who glared at me. She understood that I had an old friend who was the Demon Princess and nodded telling me she would let the other teachers know.

I left the school and I went to the stables knowing it would be safer then flying cause things were still going bad for the dragons cause of The Great War. The war between humans and dragons that went too far and attacked human settlements in Dragovia. Saddling a black Stallion I mounted and rode off to the south where I would end up in Rorvingald then I would head east for the forest and her home. Her message burned in my mind as I rode hard and fast.

A full two weeks passed before I reached her log cabin of a home. I dismounted to let the horse wonder off towards the bushes to eat and I unsaddled him and placed the saddle and tack on a rack just outside and I waited for her. "Cecilia!...it's me Erik I am here!" I shouted hoping she would hear me.

It was early that morning and Cecilia had been sleeping in her bedroom. When all of a sudden she heard her name being shouted and then it registered who was calling her name. She quickly popped up and ran out of her bedroom and to the door to her home. She opened it and ran to Erik and gave him a big hug. She remembered her old friend and had missed him all these years. She then goes, "sorry for keeping you waiting but I was as sleep I stayed up all night trying to figure out how to do this. Thank you for coming to help me, I was beginning to worry no one would come. Please come in." She said wearing a blue nightgown with a black robe over it. Her firey red hair was a mess since she just woke up.

She then goes, "sorry this place isn't the hugest thing in the world but it is home." On the bookshelf you could see a scrapbook she had made with your name on it. She had kept every article in it of all you did. It was her way of keeping in contact with you, even though she never could be there. She then goes, "have a sit, please my friend excuse me while I change then I will show you what I have planned so far." She then bowed to him and went to her room so she could get dressed leaving him free rain to look around her home. Her home didn't look like a princess, which is how she liked it. She also had the best magic books from around the world, covering magic from all walks of life. She had definately been studying but it was obvious her favorite to learn from was the druids and some of the demon wizards. All the books were by the top people in magic.

Cecilia then came back in wearing a beautiful black and gold dress with the symbol of a dragon on the dress going down and wearing a crown. Her hair was brushed and had her crown on her head with black boots that had gold trim on them as well.

I smiled as she came out and hugged me as I hugged her back. "Yes my dear friend it has been a long time since we last met." I followed her inside and as soon as she had gone to change I rummaged around looking at all the books from the top magic scholars who were adept in sorcery and different types of magic. I looked and saw a book with my name on it and I flipped through seeing all of my hard work that either paid off or the simple blunders that made everyone else laugh at me. "I understand you call this home instead of the lavish palace you used to live in when we were kids. we ran through the garden chasing each other. I enjoyed all that to the full extent of my stay before I had to leave for the top Magic school in the deep north where I was taught magic from the best mages and witches and wizards. I am the only exception cause of the black dragon that resides in me." I said as I sat down in a chair as she came out wearing a beautiful black and gold dress with the symbol of a dragon on the dress going down and wearing a crown. I stood up again and kissed her cheeks then her hands letting her know that I was her friend and lover as I had begun to develop feelings for her. I didn't want to tell her how I felt...not yet at least for we had just met after a long time of being apart. I pulled away and stepped back and said, "So...what is it that is troubling? I heard your call the instant I was practicing with my fire magic. so tell me your plans and what I can do to help."

Cecilia smiled and goes, "I am glad that you did, as you see I kept a scrap book showing everything you did at that school. I know you are the exception, I have had to teach myself privately all this time but as you saw from that fire spell I am doing quiet well. That spell was a master level spell. I just wish they would give me a chance. oh well maybe someday." She paused and goes, "stuff with my dad got worse after you left. You were the only thing keeping me there. I was happy when you were around. I couldn't take his abuse anymore so I left." She said talking from her bedroom. He couldn't see it but she was about to cry talking about her father and her life with him. She quickly wiped away the tears and walked out of the room.

Cecilia then goes smiling as he kissed her cheeks and her hands, "The creator of darkness is bringing nothing but darkness to this world. I fear that if we do not act soon all light would be gone. As you can see in my forest that use to be so beautiful is now all darkness. No light has entered this forest since he came here." she said pausing for a moment as she pulled out her maps from her book self. Sadness could be seen in her eyes. She then showed him a map of all the area.

She then goes, "the Creator of Darkness is living in this part of the world called Hell City. From here it is 3 weeks away. I can't fight this alone. I need your help destroying this man and helping and bringing back the light to this world and saving what little is left. We will need more help then just you and I even though we have great power combined between us. But we can only do so much. The path that is easiest from here goes through Devils Mountain. The most dangerous mountain terrain known in the area."

She sighed and goes, "it will be a dangerous journey but a necessary one" it was obvious in her eyes she didn't want to be telling you any of this "please help me fight this my friend. Please?" her eyes showed that she didn't like asking for help but she didn't know what else to do. The fear for this world was real and it showed all in her face. She prayed that he would say he would help her.

I just nodded at everything she said. "The teachers at the academy have been meeting more and more lately and my teacher let me go cause of you needing help. They knew of you after I had told them...I even let them know of your wanting to learn magic....even master spells are dangerous if used wrong or if they get out of control. otherwise I am glad you are safe." I followed her over as she grabbed a map from the shelf and looked at it with her.
"the Creator of Darkness is living in this part of the world called Hell City. From here it is 3 weeks away. I can't fight this alone. I need your help destroying this man and helping and bringing back the light to this world and saving what little is left. We will need more help then just you and I even though we have great power combined between us. But we can only do so much. The path that is easiest from here goes through Devils Mountain. The most dangerous mountain terrain known in the area." She said. I nodded but shook my head.
"it's too risky...if we go by horse then yes we would get there faster but the horses are scared of the mountain, I know because I have seen riders get thrown off as son as they get near it. Your father controls that mountain and has devils placed there to kill anyone who approaches it. if we want to get to Hell's City then we have to get there by foot...I'd fly us but, that's also risky as I can't stay in my dragon form for long without it starting to take control." I sighed and perked up at hearing someone outside knowing exactly who it was. "William...how..." I smiled and rushed outside to see a figure standing around in his cloak he always wore to hide his Were-wolf form.
"Erik..Brother it's so good to see you again. How has been the Academy treating you?" He asked me.
"It's been...look what are you doing here?"
"I came to help lady Cecilia. I was camping not far from devils mountain and saw her in the fire..so I came as fast as I could. I hope I am not too late." He said.
"What the hell were you doing camping close by to that cursed place?"
"I was..um....wow..it's hard to say I guess it was getting late and it was the only place I could find on short notice."

I sighed and shook my head then took him inside to meet with Cecilia. "I don't care right now..what you can do is tell Cecilia what is there and what isn't. cause we need a fast way to get to Hell's City." He followed me inside and he sat down needing a rest. "Cecilia mind getting him some water? and some food...preferably meat if you have it as well as flower bread too." I asked her as I sat next to him after taking his cloak.

Cecilia shook her head no, she didn't recognize him and she goes, "not a problem." This was the first time she had cooked for anyone but herself. She then pulled out some raw cow meat and began to cook it into steaks. She cooked 6 steaks giving them enough for two apiece and then she warmed up some of the flower bread which was also her favorite. The smell of it began to fill her kitchen. She pulled out some cheese just in case anyone wanted some other then her. She brought over some fork and knives and put all the food on a serving tray.

She then walked over and sat down the tray and handed Erik is food and William is and goes, "do you guys like red wine?" She said getting some glasses and a bottle of red wine out. She then poured her some and waited to find out if they wanted some as well. She then goes, "I hope it is to your liking. Not use to cooking for anyone but myself. First time in many years I had people to cook for."

Cecilia then goes, "I wasn't planning on taking horses it is too dangerous for them. I was planning on going by foot. Foot is safer, i spent time gathering herbs on Devils Mountain well the safer part of it. But, in order to go by foot we will have to have the guidance of a friend of mine that lives there. But we must meet him there. He knows I am coming for sure." She then looked up and goes, "William tell me who your friend is?" She said curious as to who this other person was in her home. She could tell that William knew this person and was quiet close to him.

William took the food and happily ate it along with the bread while I spoke, Wine please..William doesn't drink while a were-wolf. His friend is a centaur we met while kids visiting Alfrice. She is quite skilled in combat and I know she will be willing to help us. Her name is Alice Oakland and she gave me a ride to the Academy after I helped her with some bandits." He said. "She knows a way around the devil's mountain. I know you want to cross the mountain..but things have changed and it will be too dangerous, There is a war along with the Darkness that is spreading. Even now we are in danger cause we don't know what will come or when it will come." I sighed as William finished the meat and worked on the bread taking large bites and after finishing, "I can go on ahead and head off to meet with her. I was planning to see her anyway. then we can meet up someplace and then plan our next move." I nodded to him and figured that would be best.

I looked at her, "Best thing to do now is grab whatever we can use...maps...food and water and clothes and then get out of here. William will run ahead to meet with Alice. She had been wanting to see him for sometime now...said something about a stone or something." I said. William nodded verifying what I had just said and then we both looked at Cecilia. "What do you say to that?"

Cecilia didn't say a word she just took all her books and said a magical spell making them all small and fit in leather bag. She then went to pack and goes into her room. her room had a bed with gold sheets and on her wall was swords and weapons of all sorts. She then packed all the weapons she had in her bag along with her clothes and armor. She then put the bag on her back it felt like then ever. This bag was a never ending storage bag. She packed up the meat and several things of food after she poured him the wine. She was getting very annoyed and she goes, "I am the leader of this group, I set out the call for help and you all follow my orders. If you can't handle that let me no NOW!!" She said angry slightly.

She then calmed herself and goes, "There is no other way!! WE HAVE TO CROSS THE DEVILS MOUNTAIN!! PERIOD!!" she said making that the end of the discussion. Once she had all the food they would need for the three she put it in her bag and put the bag back on her back for the last time. She then began to walk out her house and goes, "we will go and meet your friend William then after that it is too the Devils Mountain. Come" she said ready to lock her door.

William and I stood up and walked out of the house and he went off knowing where he would meet with Alice as they had planned it and I had no idea where they are meeting and then I turned to Cecilia, "know what...fine we will cross the mountain...but I warn you the first sign of trouble and I fly off with William on my back and with Alice in my claws and you can just cross the mountain yourself. yeah sure there is no other way but Volarin will see us coming. the mountain is the first place he will send troops to meet us....it's fine if you don't believe me. and I am sorry for getting you upset. I just don't want to see you get hurt again. I'd rather we go in a direction where he won't expect to see us coming. that's why I suggested a safer route." I turned and started to walk feeling regret and guilt. I sighed as my horse came back and I saddled him and mounting I rode after William wanting to see Alice again.
I stopped and I rode back and I looked down at her. "yes you are the leader..but what about taking our ideas and suggestions into consideration? aren't we supposed to be doing this together? united we conquer...but divided we fall...place that into your heart and mind." I could feel the dragon starting to tense up inside me and want to come out and burn everything to the ground but I kept him calm as I continued. "I came all this way to join you in your quest...but now maybe I shouldn't have cause you are turning down my offer to go a safer route cause there are other ways of getting to his city." I said as I dismounted and before I knew It I had kissed her for a long moment before pulling away, mounting and riding off leaving her alone. "If you want us then we will be in town planning a better route to take! go ahead and cross the mountain!...I don't care anymore." I just rode the rest of the way in silence.

She had gathered enough food and provisions for her journey and after saying her farewells she strapped on her swords and bow as well as a few quivers she galloped off to meet William as planned. Being half horse wasn't too bad, she could gallop all day along the plains and through the forest nearby if she wanted to and have fun doing it. She smiled at the thought of being with William once again. "Oh..William how much I love you I can't say." She kept going and stopped to rest in a town where she was well known and she greeted all who came to meet her. Children smiled as she gave them rides around the square which gave her much joy and as soon as she was well rested she said farewell and went on her way.
