The boy was upset with him he could easily tell but replied, "I am sorry I never meant to be rude. And I know this isn't my land but I have lived here long enough to think that." The dragon called himself Amaroq and he stood up and started to walk away but stopped and looking back, "perhaps I can help you..I am looking to leave this land but I must do something first....I shall return, stay here and perhaps I have what you are looking for." He left the boy under the large Oak and went for his cave of vast treasures he had hoarded over the centuries.

Larz opened his eyes and looked around.
*now where did that guy go.. Hmm, maybe he can help me*
Larz now waited for the man to return.

He returned as a human with his robe flowing in the blowing wind and carried a book and placed it in the satchel he was wearing across his chest that laid against his right side. The satchel had a golden emblem of a phoenix stitched into the leather. the leather strap also had gold but held silver in it as well. He looked at the boy and said, "My name is Erik and I am a mage from the deep north. I have knowledge on most things....I can change into a dragon at times. but only when I must." He looked at the boy then asked, "What is your name and what is it that you seek?"

Larz stared at the man for a second.
"So let me get this straight. You can turn into a dragon? And by the way, my name is Larz and I am looking for..something."

"Yes I can and you refused to see me as a dragon when you had the chance so...next time I change you will see me as one. but I must warn you Larz, that my fire is black as the night and burns even the toughest of men. even shields do not last against it." Erik warned the boy. "And I cannot help you if you do not tell me what you are looking for."

"Well, I doubt you could help me find what I am looking for anyway. Only..Special people can know where and what it is."

"Try me...I know of things and places as well as people. Perhaps I have it within my treasure trove. I may be a human mage dragon but I know I have many treasures. maybe including the one you seek." Erik said to him.
